AURA Cricket Tournament Rules

Rules of Play

Tournament will be conducted in knockout format.

Each team can have a squad of maximum 15 players (11+4 substitutes).

The playing 11 cannot be changed once submitted before the match.

The captain needs to give the list of playing 11 before the start of the match.

All ICC rules will be followed.

In case of rain, D/L method as per ICC rules is applicable.

During play, the umpire's decision is final.

In case a team does not reach the ground on time, overs will be deducted.

knockout Matches will be of 15 overs each

semi final will be of 18 overs

final will be of 20 overs

All players must be students of their representative college (UG only).

All players should be registered as per the fest's basic registration rules.

Players must bring their college identity card.

In case of dispute, players should produce valid documents (Marksheet, Library Card, Aadhaar Card).

Failure to produce documents will lead to team disqualification.

Power play will be of 5 overs.

During power play, only 2 fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle.

After power play, a maximum of 5 fielders can be outside the 30-yard circle.

Each bowler can bowl a maximum of 3 overs.

Smoking or consumption of alcohol inside the ground is strictly prohibited.

Misbehavior with other teams, the sports committee, or umpires will lead to disqualification Of the team with no refund.

All matches will be played with a white leather ball.

All teammates must wear the same colored jersey.

White jerseys are not allowed.

Metal spikes are not allowed; only normal sports shoes or rubber spikes are permitted.

All teams must report 20 minutes before the scheduled time.

The umpire's decision is final.

Scoring will be both online (CricHeroes) and offline.

In case of any dispute, the decision of the organizing committee will be final.
